It has been a little while since I last took time to write to each of you, I think maybe my Christmas Greeting was my last contact. But I wanted to let you know how things are going and what the Lord has raised up for later this year. First of all, while I am home I have been so blessed to minister in the lives of couples, women and their families. It is such a joy to watch the Word of God go forth and find residence in the hearts and lives of so many. I am finding that people do want Truth, they are desiring to be rescued from their sins and the situations and circumstances that they find themselves in. And often times when I meet with them, listen to why they have come, I ask them, " Do you wish to get well?" John 5. Like the man that was by the pool waiting for someone to lift him and put him in the water, Jesus said to him, Do you wish to get well? Most of the time they say, Yes! But time shows if they really wish to get well or if they just want someone to do it for them. Jesus told the man, Take up your pallet and walk! I am finding when these couples and individuals come face to face with the Word of God it demands a response, obedience or rejection. Praise the Lord I am seeing much fruit, families that are walking now in the Spirit and marriages that are being restored. Children that our showing respect to their parents and men, women and children being saved!! Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved!!!! Acts 16. A simple message but one that came at a great cost!
Now to update you on the International Ministry that I will be doing later this year. In late June I am going with a few woman from First Baptist Church of Umatilla to Guatemala. We are connecting with Orphan's Heart, a ministry of the Florida Baptist Children's Home. Orphan's Heart has a Malnutrition Center outside of Guatemala City. We will be working at the Center and our ministry will be hands on. Feeding babies and children, washing them, washing mattresses, rocking little ones, mopping floors, loving on and teaching them and much more. I have been told that I will be able to lead daily Devotions with the Staff. For some time I have had friends say, "I would love to go with you someday." Well, this trip is going to be the perfect fit for us to go together. Often times because I am leading a Conference or Retreat as a Guest Speaker, I am being housed at a friend's home and I am not able to take a group. So I am very excited for them to be able to go and we can join in ministry together. Their lives are going to be changed forever as they minister to these children!
I have also been asked to lead a Women's Retreat in Guatemala in October again. This will be for a weekend and then plans have already been discussed for me to return to the Seminary in Chimaltanango and have on going counseling during the Pastor's Conference. I was told maybe they would have me lead
another Seminar like the one I did last year.
Thank you my dear friends and family for taking a moment to read this update. Words cannot express how blessed I am to be used of the Lord! I love to tell the Story. I love serving Him with all of my heart! He has taken what the locust sought to destroy and raised up His ministry for this time and for His Kingdom. Your love, support and prayers make it all possible!
Love to all, Cindy
