You are just waking up and my day is coming to a close.
The Concert was a huge success! We believe there were over 200 in attendance and they stayed until the very end! I couldn't help but cry as I watched the young people take charge of this event and do it with such sweet spirits. There were many decisions made for Christ, I don't have the final number yet but He knows. Next Concert is Sunday evening. Thank you so much for your prayers. I have attached a few pictures!
The Chicken Pox have struck again, Apple now has them. Everyone has been asking me, " Ate Cindy, have you had them and I said, I must have because my children had them and I didn't get them then!" I am sure I am safe, just disappointed that Joseph and Apple are in bed and not able to participate in the things that I am doing with the others. I did begin the morning by going to the girls dorm and enjoying Devotion with them. It was so sweet as I entered their dorm Joy was playing her guitar and the others were sitting around on their beds listening. I think all the girls even the youngest who is about 2 yrs. old sat and listened.
It rained very hard during the night and continued to rain some during the day so I shared two Benji DVD's with the children because they were not able to play outside. They loved them, thanks Gail for loaning them to me to bring.
In Olive and Jeffrey's one room home, I watched "The Heart of Texas" with Apple, Joy, Shyne, Danneth, Joana B., Joana U., Ella, and Mellie! You guys have no idea how small this room is but we were VERY warm and cozy! This doctumentary is about a family that had a great loss and how they showed forgiveness, it is wonderful! And everyone cried!
Olive helped me put together a schedule while I am here which will include one on one time with many of the college youth and I am going to meet with the Teachers from Open Door as well.
I felt like a Doctor, I had two appointments today, one at 2 and then at 3 and Ella, my friend who I brought the nail polish for, gave me a pedicure and manicure. The Mission Field is tough!
I have loved spending time with my friends today and I do believe that the Lord has given me wisdom for them at this time in their lives.
Lastly, I must tell you that I have seen 3 very large RATS today!!! That's right, I said RATS!!! And then I saw a cat and he was about the same size so of course that is why the RATS are still running around! Now they were not in the house, but they were to close for comfort for me!! Yikes!! Did God make them??? Yes, I know the answer but Why Father?
Love you all, enjoy a few photos!
