As I sit to take a minute to update you on today I am among small sweet children that are playing with Olive and Jeffrey's son Japheth. He was born in April when I was here earlier this year, you may remember. He has grown so big and all the children at Open Door love him. Today I began the morning with another delicious breakfast. As a lay in bed each morning I am able to smell bacon cooking, Nenette says it is special just for me, and I know it is time to get up. Yummy!
I met with the girls again this morning for devotion, Apple was not able to attend as she will get worse before she gets better re: the Chicken Pox! Joseph seems to be improving, I caught him on the balcony of the boys floor earlier looking at the other boys playing basketball. He wants to be let free so bad. Maybe another week?
I took the girls, Cindy's Angels, to lunch for their Birthdays, they wanted to go to McDonald's. Each of them ordered, chicken and spaghetti, a large fr and a McFloat. I got a large frie and a small coke and said wow girls, I guess you are hungry!!!! We all laughed so hard! I then took them to the salon and each of them got their haircut, they are so beautiful. What fun!
Later, Olive, Mellie, Ella and I took a Jeepney to see Melanie and her new baby. She looks good and the baby is beautiful yet they are living with no electricity and it is just put together with branches and cardboard. After visiting with her for a bit, we prayed and had devotion. I asked her if she had her Bible and she went straight to a place where she has the two Daily Breads that I gave here earlier this year. She has written on them, Ate Cindy! She also named the baby Mark Sandy, if she had a girl she was going to call her Cindy but felt that was to feminine for a boy so they named him Sandy. How can it be that I have been so blessed to impact this girls life with the gospel? Only God! Now certainly she has not made wise choices always but God in His loving kindness draws those who are far off to Himself by using the voices of men and women like myself. I am the privileged one!
Today the children and youth will watch Pilgrims Progress outside, Jeffrey is going to show it on a screen or against a wall, I am so blessed to challenge them with this message.
Continuing to be well, all because of your prayers.
I love you all, Cindy
