I just arrived in Manila and will head to bed soon so that I begin my journey home rested. My flight as I shared is 9:00 a.m. Monday morning and then I will arrive home Monday night at 9:30 p.m., over 24 hours later. If I think about it to long it can make me crazy. So when I get on the
plane I just focus on meeting someone new, looking for an opportunity to witness and realizing I will get there when I get there. I certainly have lots to praise the Lord about on my journey home. May I share just a few?
This morning at church I gave Chuckie a photo to give to his mother, you will remember Emy, he said to me, she is upstairs at church! I said, Praise the Lord! She only came last Sunday because Chuckie wanted her to meet me. I invited her to the retreat and bribed her into coming, she prayed to received Christ and Hallelujah she was in church this morning. Already I see the women of the church reaching out to her and making her feel welcome.
Ten of the teachers from Open Door came to the Retreat and it is mandatory for them to attend the church service at Open Door on the first Sunday of the months. They were all at church this morning. Two of them, Tess and Cecilla both spend about an hour with me as I encouraged them. Cecilla prayed to receive Christ on the retreat.
One of the girls at Open Door that I spent a lot of time with this past week was Beverly, remember the Valedictorian? Well, she has not felt secure enough to become involved with the older youth and college age group and after spending time in prayer with her and encouraging her, she went to Bible Study with them yesterday and off to do Missions work with them this afternoon at a sister church. I am so proud of her and trusting the Lord to give her the courage to press on toward maturity and to step outside of her box. Proud of you Beverly!!!!!!!
I could go own but I will save some of the testimonies but I have not begun to scratch the service.
With God All Things Are Possible.
I love you all, Cindy
